LUCKNOW: Railways will run a special train between Lucknow and LalKuan from Sunday. The special train 05059/05060 will run three times a week. The train will run for 12 trips between June 2 and 29 from Lucknow and between June 5 and 30 from LalKuan.
The train will run on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from Lucknow at 11.25pm to reach Lal Kuan at 7am. From Lal Kuan, it will run on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 1 p.m. to reach Lucknow at 9.10pm The train will stop at Roja, Bareilly, Rampur and Rudrapur city.
The train will have an AC-2 tier, AC-3 tier, sleeper and general class coaches. The train will run from Lucknow on June 2, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 20, 22, 23, 27 and 29. It will run from Lal Kuan on June 5, 7, 12, 14, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30.
Nainital Express, the only direct train between Lucknow and Lal Kuan, got its route cut short in December 2011 after 84km Bareilly-Lalkuan stretch was converted into a broad gauge. The other trains on the route- Bagh Express, Howrah-Lal Kuan Express and Garib rath have huge waiting list and do not have convenient timings.
